What is SingleVoice Marketing®?

SingleVoice Marketing is a way to streamline your marketing efforts. It was developed by Wehrman & Company as an alternative to "shotgun" approaches to marketing a company and its products. Combining strategic planning and research with broad-based design solutions, it enables you to identify and send consistent messages using all the tools in your marketing mix.

More importantly, SingleVoice Marketing streamlines communications, eliminating marketing waste and allowing your company to speak in one, consistent voice to customers, shareholders, employees and other target audiences.

Who needs SingleVoice Marketing®?

We've yet to find a company that doesn't.

Virtually every organization, large or small, benefits from the consistency that SingleVoice Marketing provides. There are certain situations, however, where the need for SingleVoice is particularly great. These include companies involved in a merger, restructuring or new corporate identity; companies preparing for a new product or service launch or repositioning; and companies with multiple divisions or subsidiaries which create communications independently.

Where can I use SingleVoice Marketing®?

SingleVoice solutions have direct applications in corporate and product branding, financial communications, trade shows, literature, advertising and more.

Whenever — or wherever — you have something to communicate, SingleVoice Marketing can help you do it better and faster. You can use SingleVoice Marketing to help establish or refine your corporate or brand positioning. Or to differentiate your products and services in the marketplace. Or to systematize the process of producing individual communications pieces. You name it, SingleVoice can help.

How does SingleVoice Marketing® work?

No two SingleVoice programs are alike. But the process for creating them is always the same. Wehrman & Company uses a proprietary methodology to develop systems which meet each customer's objectives.

The process includes five basic steps:
0. The audit -- to define the problem
1. The marketing/communications plan -- to define the solution
2. Creative development -- to solve the problem
3. Documentation and implementation -- to create the solution
4. Maintenance -- to ensure long-term success

What's involved in a SingleVoice audit?

A SingleVoice audit evaluates your market, products and strategies.

Working confidentially, Wehrman & Company reviews existing programs and conducts management interviews to gain insight into market trends and define program goals. The audit is used to explore the dynamics of your target audiences, your company's and competitors' relative market positions, your company's corporate identity and the results of your current marketing mix. From our research and analysis, we recommend basic parameters and components for accomplishing your business objectives.

What's involved in the marketing/communications plan?

A SingleVoice Marketing plan results from a problem-solving process.

We will guide you in establishing one or more critical goals for your program, along with strategies for achieving them. This process typically begins with organizational planning, scheduling and budgeting. It also includes strategy development, preliminary creative solutions and recommendations for addressing your company's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

What's my role in the problem-solving process?

SingleVoice Marketing customers usually take an active role in developing solutions.
When you work with Wehrman & Company, you can be as involved as you like in developing your solution. We'll include you early on when we present preliminary creative strategies for your SingleVoice system. Our solutions are usually "field-tested" on immediate marketing needs. Later post-project analysis provides further insight on any refinements which may be needed in future applications.

What's the end product of a SingleVoice Marketing® System?

Better communication — all clearly outlined in an easy-to-use manual.

As the SingleVoice development process becomes finalized, Wehrman & Company prepares a marketing communications manual which provides the framework for executing all of your company's communications. Along with guidelines for using your system, it includes sections which address "how to" questions and specific solutions for your real day-to-day marketing applications.

Depending on your needs, your "deliverable" might also include logos or brand marks, special marketing phrases, theme artwork and high-priority project copy and artwork.

How are our day-to-day marketing needs handled?

SingleVoice gives you the flexibility to implement programs your way.

Your company may be in a position to handle your day-to-day needs internally, using your SingleVoice manual as a guide. Wehrman & Company is also available to provide total execution of your marketing tools. However you choose to work, we will train and educate you on the critical components of your system, emphasizing teamwork and cooperation between internal staff and external agencies or consultants.

How long will a SingleVoice system last?

With proper maintenance, SingleVoice can last forever.

The better you take care of something, the longer it will last. The same goes for a SingleVoice system. We recommend your company evaluate its SingleVoice system annually to ensure it remains applicable to the demands of your marketplace. Even the best systems can and should evolve over time as marketing needs or applications change.
